Hello, world!

I was roughly six years old when I was gifted a Nintendo Entertainment System, a shortsighted act that would begin a lifelong love of games.  My uncle probably should have given me a guitar.

Today I play tabletop miniature wargames, RPGs, board games, but more than any other type I still play - and love - video games.  The posts here reflect my personal experience and thoughts about the games 'in the moment' as I'm playing them. 

 

I was inspired to start writing this by the venerable CRPG Addict's excellent blog, and it sprang from humble beginnings as series of posts on a private Discord server for just a few close friends to read.  After I'd consistently posted there for several months, one of those friends had the good sense to convince me to put it all online and give everyone a chance to read it.

So here I am, and I hope you all enjoy coming along as we play all the things.

A note on Spoilers: There are Spoilers! The way I write about games is pretty close to a 'Let's play' video in Blog form, and since I post as I'm playing I sometimes can't tell if what I'm talking about at the moment qualifies as a spoiler or not, so I don't take pains to avoid them.

I choose what games to play based on suggestions from friends, readers of the blog, my oversized steam backlog, and whatever I happen to be interested in playing, so if there's something you'd love me to try then let me know in the comments.
